What is Kokuin?

Translated from Japanese, the word Kokuin means imprint or seal. My work is inspired by Japanese and Indian artistic styles and traditions. I make artisanal textile products—coasters, napkins, placemats, pocket squares, and hand towels—to be used and enjoyed around the home. Learn more about why I chose this name, how I started woodblock printing and painting on fabric, and more.
